Happy game of thrones day1/27/2024 ![]() I can pretty well guarantee you that very little will get done at the GI office tomorrow since everyone is going to be talking about this instead. Seriously, you've never heard of any of the rest of these people unless you're heavily involved with theater (theatre?) in the United Kingdom or you work for the BBC.Īre you pumped? I'm pumped. How awesome is that?Ī Bunch Of British Actors You Don't Know as Everyone Else The giant elder Clegane not only has the best nickname ever, but he's played by a dude named Conan. Who's Karen Gillen, though my lady friend would argue that he's just as pretty.Ĭonan Stevens as Gregor Clegane, a.k.a. ![]() I thoroughly enjoyed Gillen in The Wire (no surprise it's literally the best TV show ever), so I'm definitely glad to see him cast in this promising show. Littlefingerīest known as Councilman Tommy Carcetti in The Wire, Gillen takes on a similarly ambitious if slightly slimier role as minor noble Petyr Baelish. The smokin' hot actress who played Sarah Connor in The Sarah Connor Chronicles is the smokin' hot queen who may or may not be totally, irredeemably evil and/or more than a little nuts.Īiden Gillen as Petyr Baelish, a.k.a. Tyrion is arguably the most nuanced character in the entire series, and it'll be fascinating to see Dinklage's take on the role. One of the most recognizable and respected little people in film, Dinklage plays the conniving third Lannister sibling. Bean is a fantastic actor I can't imagine a better casting for Ned. The main character from the novel is portrayed by the estimable Sean Bean, who you probably know best as Boromir from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings films. If you're as excited as we are, stop in here to discuss it and/or ogle the cast. Martin's seminal fantasy series has gotten as much buzz in the GI offices as L.A. HBO's television adaptation of George R.R.
